My work can be seen at A Z gallery in lower-town St. Paul
The art of Todd Peterson has many facets. It is his deductive process that is
evident in this sampling of work where intuition takes over and he coaxes a
visual concept to fruition. With his painterly drawing style he masterfully
works out images with humor, sentiment, and pathos.

The main body of My work to this point has been done with Caran De Ache Neocolor II water soluble crayons (fantastic product) I am an untrained artist. The first artist that took a burned stick to a cave wall, of course had no training, no theory, or formula to reach to, He had to reach inside Himself to find His “voice”, to scratch that itch to communicate without words. While having no formal training, I of course have been exposed to the works of centuries of artists, and their influence is inevitable. I do strive to find My inner “voice” to express the world as I see, hear, feel, and dream about it. This exploration results in passing glimpses, frozen moments, inner thoughts, inside jokes, short stories, or memories all expressed in lines and colors, that I hope serve as a conduit between Myself and the viewer. Much of My work is started with just a bit of an idea, a quick sketch. It's the process that I enjoy, the 'building' of the piece. I think of it as a puzzle, without rules, and a million wrong answers
For the past four years I've been fortunate to be involved with Altered Esthetics Gallery in N.E. Minneapolis Mn. I now sit on the board of directors for AE where My main focus is artists relations
